St. Lawrence O’Toole’s Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat

Matteson, IL—(ENEWSPF)—October 25, 2012.  Witches and goblins, pirates and princesses, moms and dads and grandparents too; all are invited to St. Lawrence O’Toole’s 4th Annual Trunk-or-Treat and Halloween Party, this Saturday, October 27th from 6:15pm to 9:00pm.  St. Lawrence O’Toole is located at 4101 St. Lawrence Avenue in Matteson, on Governor’s Highway just 2 blocks south of Lincoln Highway/Route 30.

The O’Toole Trunk-or-Treat activity is a fun way to keep Halloween safe. What is Trunk-or-Treat? It’s when several families park their cars in the church parking lot after the 5:00pm Mass, open up the trunks of their cars, and kids walk around to each car to Trunk-or-Treat instead of going house to house to Trick-or-Treat. Be sure to bring a bag of candy to pass out, and feel free to decorate your car! The parking lot will close promptly at 6:15.

After Trunk-or-Treating, neighbors, school families and St. Lawrence O’Toole parishioners will meet in the Sullivan Center for the Halloween party. This year, O’Toole is hosting a dance party with a laser light show by Go Dj Entertainment. In addition, there will be raffle prizes, and a cupcake decorating contest. To register for the contest, call the school office at 708.747.3322 x112 with your name, age, and phone number. On Saturday, bring 12 of your most creative Halloween decorated cupcakes to the party; there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. The cost for admission is $2 per person, or $5 per family, and additional donations are always welcome. All proceeds will benefit the computer lab at St. Lawrence O’Toole School.
