Two Elected to Prairie State College Board of Trustees


CHICAGO HEIGHTS–(ENEWSPF)–July 21, 2015.  The Prairie State College (PSC) Board of Trustees recently added two new members to its seven-member board. Dr. Ronald Jeffrey White and Joelle Mulhearn both were elected to six-year terms.

A resident of Chicago Heights, White is assistant pastor for New Hope Baptist Church in Chicago Heights and a clinician with PsyCynergy Psychological Services in Harvey. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in theology, a Doctor of Ministry and a Doctor of Philosophy from A.L. Hardy Academy of Theology in Seattle, Wash.

A resident of Chicago Heights, Mulhearn is a fifth grade teacher at Flossmoor Hills Elementary School. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University. She has been teaching for 25 years, and has experience teaching kindergarten, second, third and fifth grades, as well as gifted curriculum.

PSC is governed by the seven-member board of trustees, which is elected by the voters of Illinois Community College District 515. The Board of Trustees meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. in the College Board Room (2274). All meetings, other than executive sessions, are open to the public.
