Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- In recognition of Veterans Day, Prairie State College (PSC) honored several veterans for their service to the country, as well as their service to the college, during a special ceremony organized by the Student Veterans Club. Recognized were (standing, from left) Georges Sanon, PSC adjunct professor; PSC student Terrence Mullen; and William Graefnitz of the PSC Police and Campus Safety Department; and (seated, from left) keynote speaker Bill Browne, director of the Cook County Department of Veteran Affairs; and Ignacio Ramos, a readjustment counseling specialist.

The ceremony was one in a series of events honoring veterans scheduled at the college throughout the month of November. The day’s celebration also included a Missing Man Ceremony, honoring MIA/POW soldiers of foreign wars. Information about additional upcoming events honoring veterans at PSC is available at prairiestate.edu.
