South Suburban Earth Science Club May Round-up


Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The South Suburban Earth Science Club met the evening of Tuesday, May 12 at Freedom Hall, Park Forest, IL. After the business meeting, club member Robert Beadle, presented a program on agates. Beadle shared several specimens of agates including Mexican Crazy Lace, Union Rd. Agates, named from the location where they are found south of St. Louis, MO, and Lake Superior Agates to name a few. Beautifully illustrated books on agates were shared along with information on agates found around the world.

The next meeting will be the last before summer break on Saturday, June 7th.
