Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Members of village staff have compiled a schedule of events for members of the Park Forest village board, comprehensive through the end of the current calendar year. Events on the horizon include meetings with the Matteson Area Chamber of Commerce, Monday board meetings, Youth Day, a Strategic Planning Study Community Workshop, the July 4 Parade, Main Streets Nights, an event honoring members of our Boards and Commissions, another event honoring new Park Forest residents, and an Illinois Municipal League 94th Annual Conference in October. The schedule reflects the decision of the board to scale back on some meetings, but includes three separate committees of the board and trustee liaison assignments to respective boards and commissions. Board committee chairs are held by the three trustees whose seats will be up in the next election.
All assignments are effective until the next reorganization of the board in 2009. The schedule does not reflect board and commission meetings that individual trustees will attend, but meetings and events involving the entire board.
