Workshop Offered to Help Stop Animal Abuse


Animal Abuse is a Crime!

Cook County , IL–(ENEWSPF)– Help stop the violence by becoming a D.A.W.G. Court Advocate.

Cook County Partners Against Animal Cruelty (PAAC) and the Cook County Sheriffs Office will host a FREE 2-hour workshop and training program from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday, December 3rd at the Markham Courthouse Room # 210 located at 16501 S. Kedzie Ave, Markham. News of the workshop comes from Cook County Commissioner Joan Patricia Murphy’s office.

All are invited to come out to learn the duties of D.A.W.G. Court Advocates and how they have an impact on stopping Animal Abuse. Review laws and procedures for court cases involving animal abuse.

Attendees will meet and hear from experts throughout the training.

"If you love animals and want to make a difference, don’t miss this training workshop on Wednesday, December 3rd at the Markham Courthouse. Court Advocates provide representation for victims that cannot represent themselves," Murphy said in a statement.

Cook County Commissioner Joan Patricia Murphy, Founder and Co-Chair of Cook County Partners Against Animal Cruelty (PAAC) is working to encourage citizens of 18 years through seniors to attend this free training and workshop. Court Advocacy programs are one the most effective tools for addressing violence in our communities.

"If you are passionate for the humane treatment of animals and would like to help improve safety in your community now is the time to get involved," Murphy said.
