Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- A reader contacted eNews Park Forest asking for information about a disturbance in Eastgate Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

The reader said the neighborhood was “very agitated” on May 23, 2019, somewhere between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. There were several police cars on Arcadia Street, according to the report from the reader.

“The crowd was agitated. Young people, adults, a large crowd appeared en alert,” eNews Park Forest learned. There were a number of detectives and officers “all over the streets,” the reader said.

Thursday, May 24, 2019, the reader reported that at about the same time a police car was watching Arcadia right at the corner. “A big crowd of young people was hanging around in front of houses,” the reader said.

According to Deputy Chief Brian Rzyski, the disturbance was the result of a neighbor dispute between two families.

“No complaints signed or arrests made,” Chief Rzyski told eNews Park Forest.
