Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Our next installment of separate coverage of burglary and theft reports in Park Forest.

Please keep in mind “‘Tis the Season” for home burglaries. Packages delivered to porches, homes with new merchandise visible through windows, these are targets during the holiday season, especially as Christmas and Hanukkah approach. Please make every effort to secure your home when you’re not there, and crush boxes for recycling after opening new items.

Persons wishing to leave anonymous information on any criminal matters including narcotics or gang activity are encouraged to call the Park Forest Police Department Investigations Division at (708) 748-1309.

Police received a call to investigate a report of theft of car tires from a vehicle in the 400 block of Indianwood Boulevard. The report was made on December 20, according to police. A resident in that block reported that two tires had been stolen from his car. He said it happened days earlier, according to police. The resident did not report the theft until the car received a ticket and sticker indicating the vehicle was subject to tow.

There were no burglaries reported between December 19 and December 26, according to police.
