Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Chicago F.B.I. has confirmed a report that the First Midwest Bank, 2 Main Street, Park Forest, was robbed this morning.

According to Special Agent Julia Meredith of the Chicago F.B.I., at approximately 11:40 a.m. Friday morning, two female employees were servicing the ATM on the north side of the building when they were approached by a black male, approximately 6-feet tall.

According to Park Forest police, one of the employees said she observed an unknown male black subject dressed in all dark clothing standing north of their location. He appeared to be hiding behind a large tree. Seconds later, the unknown subject ran up to the employees and allegedly stated, “Give me the damn money now or I’ll kill you. I got a gun.” The subject then put his right hand near his waistband and began to pull up his shirt, confirming that he was reaching for a gun, according to police.

When told by one of the employees that she didn’t have any money, the subject then allegedly replied, “I know you got it so give it, give it, or I’ll shoot you. I’ll kill you,” according to police.

The employees then gave the man the money.

The man then fled on foot. The man did not show a weapon, according to Agent Meredith.

The alleged offender is described as a black male between the ages of 25 and 40 years old, between 5’10” and 6’1″, weighing between 220 and 250 pounds, with black hair, wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark exterior clothing, with a white t-shirt underneath. The subject was further described as appearing unshaven and having a very deep voice.

The F.B.I. and Park Forest police continue to investigate.
