Man Shot On Indianwood Thursday

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- A man shot on Indianwood Boulevard Thursday was sent to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

In a statement, Park Forest Police said officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Indianwood Boulevard shortly after noon regarding a report of shots fired.

Responding officers discovered a 44-year-old man in the front yard of the residence with a gunshot wound to the leg. The man was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The man wa being questioned by police.

Police said the preliminary investigations indicated that the incident stemmed from domestic violence.

Police stressed that this was not a random crime. No one besides the man was injured in this incident.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be made available at a later time, according to police.
