Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- We turn back to burglary reports and remind readers to lock their vehicles and leave them locked at all times, even if returning to inside your home for a moment.
For the record, there were no arrests in Park Forest between November 11 and November 17, 2020. These are the only items to report.

A lunchbox containing a driver’s license, credit cards, and $100 cash was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Miami Street on October 30. The stolen credit card was charged $1000 without permission of the owner, according to police.
A Smith & Wesson M&P9 9 mm handgun was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Westgate Drive on November 3.
A dollar in quarters was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Wilson Court on November 7. The vehicle had been left open, according to police.
A Taras G2C 9 mm handgun was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Elm Street on November 11. The vehicle had been left unlocked, according to police.
About Police Reports
Please note that we repeatedly say “according to police” in these reports and often use “allegedly.” We are not asserting in any way that those police arrested and charged committed any offenses. We report on what is in the reports that the police furnish to us. As those accused are innocent until proven guilty, the burden is on prosecutors and police to prove all alleged crimes.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. The law presumes all those whom police arrest are innocent until proven guilty. Our policy is that we will only add information relevant to the final disposition of the case at hand, e.g., “Mr. Smith was subsequently acquitted,” “Mr. Smith entered a guilty plea,” or “All charges against Mr. Smith were subsequently dropped.” We will do so upon receiving and verifying proof of such disposition.
