Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Jeremy L. Williams, 27, 258 Blackhawk Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on February 25 and issued municipal citations charging possession of cannabis when police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Blackhawk Drive to investigate a separate report.

A juvenile was arrested at Rich East High School on February 25 and processed on an active arrest warrant out of Harvey, Illinois, charging no valid driver’s license.

Jonathan E. Green, 22, 1429 East End Ave., Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 2 and charged with violation of an order of protection and disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Indiana Street to investigate a report of a telephone threat.

Victor L. Stewart, 48, 116 Hay St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 2 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal when required, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, no valid registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver’s license, and unlawful display of registration when an officer patrolling eastbound on Lincoln Highway observed that the vehicle Stewart was driving allegedly failed to signal a lane change while traveling eastbound on Lincoln Highway, according to police.

Victor M. Perez, 22, 1855 225th St., Sauk Village, was arrested on March 4 and charged with driving while license was revoked, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, and was also processed on an arrest warrant out of Chicago Heights. An officer traveling westbound on Sauk Trail performed a LEADS inquiry on the vehicle Perez was driving and discovered that the vehicle’s registration was expired and suspended due to a mandatory insurance violation, according to police.

A black Lenovo laptop computer and mouse, an Xbox 360, and a number of PC games are among items reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Lee Street on March 5 during a residential burglary. Entry to the residence appeared to be by forcing open and damaging the front door.

An iPhone valued at $300 was reported stolen from a student at Rich East High School on March 5.

Kina (no middle initial) Johnson, 21, 30 23rd St. Apt. 2, Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 8 and charged with driving while license was suspended, improper use of registration, no valid registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when an officer patrolling northbound on Western Avenue from 26th Street conducted a LEADS inquiry on the vehicle Johnson was driving.

Rodrick Turner, 25, 4044 Euclid Ln., Richton Park, was arrested on March 7 and charged with driving while license was suspended and failure to signal when required when an officer traveling westbound on Lakewood Boulevard observed that the vehicle Turner was driving failed to signal when required prior to turning right onto Sauk Trail, according to police. A passenger in the vehicle, Abrionna Crockett, 24, 4062 W. 216th St., Apt. 3W, Matteson, was arrested and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis.

Leon E. Brown, 60, 3855 Janis Dr., Richton Park, was arrested on March 8 and charged with one count of felony aggravated DUI, making an improper turn, reckless driving, no valid driver’s license, driving while license was suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, and DUI with a blood alcohol count greater than .08 (.235, according to police). Police were alerted to a reckless driver by a complainant who continued to follow the vehicle Brown was driving until police located the vehicle at the intersection of Talala and Tampa Streets, curbing the vehicle on Tampa Street north of Titonka Street, according to police.

A resident told police on March 9 that while attempting to open a Comcast account, he discovered that Comcast claimed he had an outstanding debt of $246.33. The resident advised police that he never had a Comcast account before. Comcast advised him to complete an identity theft complaint.

Laura B. Gibbs, 61 Hemlock St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 10 and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of retail theft.

Elector Peterson, 40, 7127 S. Damen Ave., Chicago, was arrested on March 10 and charged with criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to land when police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Western Avenue to investigate a criminal trespass complaint.

Azhani M. Stewart, 18, 310 W. 17th St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 11 and charged with possession of cannabis, disobeying a stop sign, defective windshield, and no driver’s license on his person, when an officer patrolling on Lakewood Boulevard approaching Westwood Drive observed that the vehicle Stewart was driving past southbound through the intersection of Westwood Drive and Lakewood Boulevard without coming to a complete stop, according to police.
