Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Four juveniles were taken into custody in connection with a residential burglary in the first block of Sauk Trail on April 7. Charges are pending.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sauk Trail on April 7 to investigate a report of fighting in the street. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

A juvenile was arrested on April 7 and processed on a charge of battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sauk Trail.

A juvenile was taken into custody on April 7 when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of a disturbance. Charges are pending.

Kevin J. VanCott, 63, 75 Monee Rd., Park Forest, was arrested on April 7 and issued municipal citations charging dog bite and dog at large when police were dispatched to the first block of Monee Road to investigate a report of a dog bite. Police say the victim sustained injuries to his hands and chin.

Three hundred dollars in cash was reported stolen from a residence in Kentucky Court on April 8.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Shabbona Drive to investigate a report of a residential burglary on April 8.

A black Nikon Cool-pix camera valued at $100, a Dell laptop computer valued at $300, and a television valued at $700 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Shabbona Drive on April 8.

Police were dispatched to the first block of Monee Road to investigate a residential burglary on April 8. Nothing was reported missing.

A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Allegheny Street was reported vandalized by two juveniles throwing rocks at the vehicle on April 9.

A juvenile was arrested on April 9 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a report of battery.

A checkbook was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Wilson Street on April 9.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street on April 9 to investigate a report of domestic violence. There were no charges.

A juvenile was arrested on April 10 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Somonauk Street to investigate a report of juveniles passing around a gun. Police say the juvenile had a BB gun in his backpack which he was passing around prior to the officers’ arrival.

Clifton Franklin, 1314 Lincoln Ave, Chicago Heights, was arrested on April 11 and charged with possession of cannabis and processed on an outstanding warrant out of Cook County on a charge of possession of a controlled substance when officers patrolling in the area of Western Ave. and 26th St. observed a vehicle without a rear registration plate light, according to police. The driver of the vehicle, Tomaras L. Qualls, 21, 3809 Victoria Drive, Apt. GA, Richton Park, was issued municipal citations charging no rear registration plate light and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. The vehicle was impounded.

Martese L. Fleming, 26, 14214 S. Edbrook Ave., Riverdale, was arrested on April 11 and charged with obstruction of identification and depositing material on a highway when an officer traveling northbound on Western Avenue approaching Fir Street observed items being thrown from the front passenger side of the vehicle directly in front of her, according to police.

Kiara D. Jones, 18, last known address 325 Waldmann Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on April 12 and charged with aggravated assault — domestic related — and criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Wayne Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Police also arrested Ashley A. Jones, 20, 14341 Woodlawn Ave., Dolton, and charged her with aggravated assault — domestic related. Police say when they arrived, Kiara Jones was allegedly holding a silver bat while striking a vehicle, shattering the vehicle’s windshield and side windows, according to police.

A German State coin from the year 1535 was reported stolen from outside a residence in the first block of Cherry Street on April 12. The coin had been ordered from eBay and tracking information show that the coin had been delivered. The coin is valued at $150.

The driver’s door mirror of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Ash Street was reported damaged on April 12. Additionally, police observed scratches on the passenger side doors of the vehicle.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Farragut Street on April 13 to investigate a residential burglary. Items reported stolen include $20 cash, a diamond ring valued at $500, an HP laptop valued at $300, a Toshiba laptop valued at $1100, a 22-inch LG television valued at $350, and a 40-inch Samsung television valued at $800.

An Acer laptop computer valued at $500 and a 19-inch flat-screen television valued at $120 were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Sheridan Street on April 13.

Jeremy W. Glass, 21, 221 Arcadia St., Park Forest, was arrested on April 13 and charged with possession of cannabis when a vehicle in which he was a passenger allegedly changed lanes without signaling while traveling southbound on Western Avenue approaching 26th Street, according to police. The driver of the vehicle was issued citations charging failure to signal and expired driver’s license.

Brandon Berry, 29, 309 Waldmann Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on April 13 and charged with domestic battery and battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Waldmann Drive to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

Otis Lewis, 42, 40 Apple Ln., Park Forest, was arrested on April 14 and charged with domestic battery and unlawful possession of ammunition without a valid FOID card when police were dispatched to the first block of Apple Lane in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.
