Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Ebony L. Williams, 28, 233 Forest Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on July 30 and charged with two counts of obstructing a peace officer when police were dispatched to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance in Court F-1. Marlon E. Hyler, 29, 233 Forest Blvd., Park Forest, was also arrested and charged with one count of obstructing a peace officer.
Jeremy J. Jackson, Jr., 17, 18156 S. Kedzie Ave., Hazel Crest, was arrested on July 30 and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a complaint of retail theft.
A juvenile was arrested on July 31 and issued a municipal citation charging battery when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Illinois Street to investigate a report of battery.
An Xbox 360 game system, valued at $300, was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Neola Street on July 31.
Charles B. Harris, 49, 332 Minocqua St., Park Forest, was arrested on July 31 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Minocqua Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.
A man’s blue “Magnum” 12-speed mountain bicycle, valued at $100, was reported stolen from outside a business in the 100 block of South Orchard Drive on July 31. The bicycle had been left unattended and unlocked, according to police.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Chestnut Street on July 31 to investigate a report of criminal damage to property. The windshield of a school bus had seven BB holes in it, according to police.
Donald D. Henderson, 19, 213 Washington St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 1 and charged with resisting a peace officer and processed on an outstanding warrant from Cook County. Detectives were driving northbound on Washington Street from Wilshire Street when they recognized Henderson standing next to the front door of a residence in the 200 block of Washington Street. Detectives recognized Henderson from previous contacts and were aware that an arrest warrant had recently been issued for him in Cook County, according to police.
A living room window of a residence in the 400 block of Main Street was shot with what appeared to be a BB gun on August 1, according to police.
The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the first block of Brook Park Lane was reported shattered on August 1.
A silver four-door 2006 Mitsubishi Galant, Illinois license #979 9235, was reported stolen from the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive on August 1.
Two tires of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Orchard Drive were reported slashed on August 1.
Asia M. Washington, 19, 5050 W. 190th Pl., Country Club Hills, was arrested on August 2 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Westgate Drive to investigate a report of a fight.
Three Spiriva handheld Asthma inhalers were reported stolen from a UPS shipping package left in front of a residence in the 300 block of Nokomis Street on August 3.
A red and black 26-inch girls Mongoose mountain bike valued at $100 was reported stolen from the first block of Forest Boulevard on August 3.
Three teenagers were arrested on August 3 and issued municipal tickets charging disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the skate park at Forest Trail Middle School to investigate a report of juveniles being loud.
Scott Toomey, 27, 1307 172nd St., Hammond, IN, was arrested on August 3 and charged with resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license was suspended, and processed on a warrant out of Sauk Village. Detectives observed Toomey outside the front door of a business at the intersection of Western Avenue and Norwood Boulevard when the business was closed. According to police, Toomey allegedly had his phone charger and phone plugged into an electrical outlet that is on the outside of the building.
The windshield of a vehicle parked in the 21800 block of Central Park Avenue was reported shattered on August 3. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.
Marcy Ann Butler, 45, 320 Seneca St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 4 and charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Gettysburg Street to investigate a 911 hang-up call with the sounds of screaming in the background, according to police. In addition, Christopher V. Franklin, 18, 320 Seneca St., Park Forest, and Ashanti S. Franklin, 27, 7030 S. Clyde Ave., Chicago, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Nicos Davis, 18, 3440 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on August 4 and issued a municipal citation charging littering. Detectives on patrol observed Davis allegedly throw a bag from a fast food restaurant on the ground behind Faith United Protestant Church. Detective Beilke instructed Davis to pick up the trash and put it in the garbage can, which he did. Davis was given a verbal warning on littering and released. Ten minutes later, detectives were in the area of court H-9, and observed Davis sitting on a green box with a McDonald’s cup. Det. Beilke observed Davis allegedly throw the cup on the ground in the parking lot, according to police.
James M. Hawkins, 56, 10 Dunlap St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 4 and charged with soliciting without a permit when police were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy, 1 Main St., Park Forest, to investigate a report of soliciting. According to police, Hawkins was in a parking lot allegedly asking customers for money.
A 1999 Saturn Coupe, Illinois license #718 4537, was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Washington Street on August 5.
A Mitsubishi 65-inch flat-screen television, valued at $2500, and three men’s spring jackets, valued at $400, were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on August 5.
A handle was reportedly pulled off a screen door in the first block of Arrowhead Court on August 5. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.
The driver’s side and roof of a vehicle, parked in the first block of South Arbor Trail, were reported scratched and dented on August 6.
A juvenile was arrested and charged with battery and theft. An officer on patrol was flagged down by three juveniles in the 400 block of Indiana Street to report a stolen bicycle. Police searched the area and located the alleged offenders in Logan Park, according to police. Another juvenile was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
The front driver’s side window of a vehicle, parked in the 100 block of Shabbona Drive, was reported shattered on August 6.
Mark D. Robinson, 21, 387 Hickory St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 6 and charged with domestic battery when officers on foot patrol in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street were stopped by a woman in a car yelling to the officers, "get him out of my car." According to police, Robinson was the passenger in the vehicle and appeared “very angry and intoxicated.”
A 50-inch Vizio flat-screen television, valued at $1200, a PlayStation 3 game system, valued at $250, a 36-inch Magnavox flat-screen television, valued at $700, and $400 cash, were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on August 6.
A resident came to the Park Forest Police Department on August 7 to report an incident of fraud. According to police, the resident said she was checking her e-mail and discovered an e-mail from Chase Bank indicating that her account was $3230.25 overdrawn. After reviewing her account, it was determined that an unknown person had made a deposit with an allegedly fraudulent check in an ATM machine near 47th Street and Lake Street in Chicago on August 4 for $3230.25. Shortly after, an unknown person or persons made a series of withdrawals totaling that amount. The resident reported that she may have lost her ATM card prior to this incident and had not used her account for the last two months. She further related that she had her PIN number written on the back of her ATM card, according to police.
A wallet was reported taken from a purse at a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive on August 7.
An orange Blackberry Sprint mobile phone, valued at $200, was allegedly stolen from a woman as she exited Walgreens, 15 S. Orchard Dr., on August 7. According to police, as the woman opened the driver’s door of her vehicle, a suspect came up from behind and allegedly pushed her. The suspect then allegedly removed the mobile phone which was clipped to her belt and ran south behind Walgreens and then towards the townhomes along Orchard Dr. Police continue to investigate.
A 12-year-old juvenile was taken into police custody and released after counseling at the Park Forest Police Department when police responded to the 100 block of Ash Street in reference to a report that an Ash Street Cooperative golf cart had been taken without permission.
