Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Sixty dollars cash was reported stolen from a handbook left inside a vehicle parked in the 200 block of South Orchard Drive on December 17.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Wildwood Drive on December 18 to investigate a report of a vehicular accident. There were no arrests.

Ieesha N. Garcia, 18, 330 Niagara St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 18 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Niagara Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

Kirby Ashley, 51, 420 N. Orchard Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on December 18 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Orchard Drive to investigate a battery complaint.

A teenager was arrested on December 19 and released pending possible juvenile petition on a charge of disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Blackhawk Drive to investigate a bomb threat. According to police, another teenager showed his mother a text message he had just received which suggested a threat to Rich East High School on December 21. Police were contacted and traced the text message back to the teenager who was charged, according to police.

A silver Dell laptop computer, valued at $1000, a gray Dell laptop computer, valued at $6000, an LG Rival cell phone, an MP3 player, valued at $100, a silver mongoose bicycle, a remote control red pickup truck, valued at $80, an optical mouse, valued at $100, a Web camera, valued at $100, and six condoms, valued at $10, were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Winona Street on December 20.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Westwood Drive on December 20. Entry was gained to the vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot of the Park Forest Tennis & Racquet Club, by shattering the rear driver’s side window, according to police.

A juvenile was arrested on December 21 and referred to the Detectives Division for possible petitioning on a charge of retail theft when police were dispatched to Walgreens Pharmacy, 15 S. Orchard Dr., on December 21.

Ralph L. Thomas, Jr., 36, 1859 Rainbow Lane, Crete, was arrested on December 23 and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (MDMA/Ecstasy), and unlawful possession of cannabis when an officer observed the vehicle Thomas was driving allegedly traveling eastbound on Sauk Trail from Minocqua Street at a high rate of speed, according to police. Thomas was also issued traffic citations charging speeding and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

A resident leaving midnight mass at St. Irenaeus Church at approximately 1:15 a.m. Christmas morning discovered that a rear passenger’s side window of her vehicle had been shattered, according to police.

A radio was reported stolen from the center console of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Tahoe Street on December 27. An unknown person(s) gained entry to the vehicle by smashing the driver’s door window, according to police. A Dell computer, still in the box, which had been on the front passenger floorboard was also missing, according to police.
