Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Marlissa M. Hilson, 39, 182 N. Lamon Ave., Chicago, was arrested on December 20 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when police responded to the first block of McCarthy Road in reference to a report of an unwanted subject.

Charles Porter, 55, 350 Juniper St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 20 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Juniper Street to investigate a report of a disturbance.

Police discovered a window of a residence in the 300 block of Oswego Street that had been shattered when they were dispatched to that area on December 20 to investigate a report of a possible burglary in progress.

Lexus F. Guilty, 20, 206 Todd St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 22 and charged with battery and criminal trespass to property following an incident on December 21 when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of battery.

A gold man’s wedding ring with six diamonds valued at $300, $100 cash, a backpack containing personal items valued at $50, seven Xbox games valued at $350, an Xbox 360 valued at $300, a Motorola Zoom mobile phone valued at $500, two 40-inch Toshiba televisions valued at $400 each, and a 55-inch Phillips television valued at $500 were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Wilson Court on December 22. Police discovered many of these items inside the detached garage of a vacant residence in the 300 block of Winnebago Street.

The front door of a residence in the 300 block of Wayne Street was reported vandalized on November 22. Police say it appeared as if someone unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry by attempting to kick in the door.

Sean Kendall Jones, 18, 26 Apache St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 23 and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive to investigate a report of retail theft.

A laptop computer valued at $800 and a small jewelry box containing a 14 karat gold bracelet were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Jackson Street on December 24.

A black 42-inch Sanyo flat-screen television valued at $550 was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Arrowhead Street on December 26.

Steven T. Mitchell, Jr., 25, 200 Cedar Ridge, Apt. 104, Richton Park, was arrested on December 26 and charged with illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, no insurance, possession of cannabis, and issued traffic citations charging no rear registration plate light, defective right taillight and defective front windshield. Detectives on patrol in the area of Blackhawk Drive and Shabbona Drive observed that the vehicle Mitchell was driving had a cracked front windshield and no rear registration plate light, according to police.

A blue iPod valued at $200, two white Xbox 360 controllers valued at $150, a Gateway laptop computer valued at $600, and an Xbox 360 game system valued at $130 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Algonquin Street on December 26.

Six catalytic converters valued at $2000 total were reported stolen from trucks parked at a business in the 2200 block of Western Avenue on December 27.

A vehicle reported stolen from the 100 block of Well Street on December 27 was discovered in Court H-8 west off of Lester Road in Park Forest on December 29 and towed, according to police. The owner of the vehicle was advised where the car could be picked up. Police continue to investigate.

A black, white and gray 20-inch Mongoose bicycle valued at $150 was reported stolen from the 100 block of Nashua Street on December 28.

A number of miscellaneous coins, a knife and a Samsung cellular phone were reported stolen from the 23400 block of South Western Avenue on December 28.

Deandre J. Bea, 18, 328 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on December 28 and issued a municipal citation charging discharge of an airgun within village limits when an officer traveling northbound on Indianwood Boulevard observed Bea standing in the front lawn of a residence in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard holding a rifle. The officer was unable to determine whether the weapon was a firearm or a BB gun. It was later determined that the rifle was a BB gun. According to police, Bea admitted that he had discharged the gun at the rear of his residence.
