Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. If your name is listed in the police reports, we will only add information relevant to the final disposition of the case at hand, e.g. "Mr. Smith was subsequently acquitted," "Mr. Smith entered a guilty plea," or "All charges against Mr. Smith were subsequently dropped." A juvenile was arrested on March 12 and charged with possession of cannabis and truancy when an officer working at Rich East High School observed a student in the lunch room who was not displaying an ID card.

The rear license plate of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Minocqua Street was reported stolen on March 13.

A resident came to the Park Forest Police Department on March 13 and reported a lost wallet.

Antoine L. Argue, 29, 213 Lee St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 14 and charged with domestic-related assault when officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Illinois Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance involving a subject who was possibly armed with a gun, according to police.

A wallet, a DVD Player, a Craftsman toolbox containing a full set of hand tools, a Garman GPS and approximately 5 children’s movies on DVD were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at the 211th Street parking lot, 520 Homan Avenue, on March 15.

A fire hydrant in the 100 block of Forest Boulevard was reported damaged on March 15.

Darren C. Hayes, 23, 32 Oakhurst Rd., Matteson, was arrested on March 15 and charged with possession of cannabis, failure to signal when required and driving on a revoked license when an officer patrolling in the area of Westwood Drive and Lakewood Boulevard observed the vehicle Hayes was driving turn southbound onto Westwood without signaling, according to police. Two passengers in the vehicle, Antwon Johnson, 21, 353 Serena Dr., Chicago Heights, and Eugene Chambers, 22, 4437 Farmington Ave., Richton Park, were arrested and issued municipal tickets charging possession of cannabis.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Elm Street on March 16 in reference to a report of an overdose. Police were brought to an upstairs bathroom where they found a male white subject lying on the floor, apparently not breathing and not responsive. Paramedics arrived and began treatment for the suspected heroin overdose. Police found a 1 ml syringe and a plastic wrapper. Paramedics were able to revive the man who was transported to the hospital.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Todd Street on March 16 at 11:21 PM on a report of shots fired. Police recovered a bullet casing and secured it as evidence. Police continue to investigate.

Fernando A. Burrage, 29, 3412 Hickory Ln., Hazel Crest, was arrested on March 16 and charged with theft and resisting a peace officer when police were dispatched to Western Avenue and Algonquin Street in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.

A juvenile was arrested on March 16 and charged with disorderly conduct when an officer working at Rich East High School was summoned to a cafeteria on a report that a student had threatened a staff member, according to police.

Shybay E. Coleman, 18, 2864 E. Poplar Lane, Crete, was arrested on March 17 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to Court H-12 on Hemlock Street to investigate a reported 911 misdial call.

A 2002 maroon Dodge Stratus, Illinois registration 2252208, was reported stolen from the 200 block of Lee Street on March 18.

Dellian L. Roberts, 22, 18009 Olympia Dr., Country Club Hills, was arrested on March 18 and charged with no insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol, tinted front Windows, and driving while license suspended when an officer patrolling in the area of Western Avenue and Illinois Street observed that the vehicle Roberts was driving had illegal tinted windows, according to police. A passenger in the vehicle, Jeremy T. Dawkins, 23, 557 N. Carroll Pkwy., Glenwood, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis.

A 2003 Honda Element, Illinois registration UM9889 was reported stolen from the 400 block of Wildwood Street on March 18.

Police were dispatched and to a residence in the 400 block of Rutledge Street on March 18 to investigate a report of a disturbance. Police continue to investigate.

Charles A. Wallace, 24, 214 Washington St., Park Forest, was arrested on March 18 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to Washington Street to investigate a report of a suspicious auto.

Community Service Officer Jachymiak was dispatched to a residence in the first block of Blackhawk Drive on March 19 to check the well-being of two dogs in a backyard cage that was covered in feces, according to police.  CSO Jachymiak observed two brown and white Pit Bulls in a cage covered with feces. Both of the animals were also covered with feces, according to the report. The animals were taken to Forest South Animal Hospital and a note was left for the home owner to contact the Park Forest Police Department in reference to this incident.

Laquinton D. Jones, 18, 33 E. Rocket Circle, Park Forest, was arrested on March 19 and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor when police were dispatched to the first block of West Rocket Circle to investigate a report of an unwanted subject.

Jorge A. Ortiz, 34, 201 W. 15th St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 19 and charged with possession of cannabis when police patrolling in the area of Western Avenue and Birch Street observed that the vehicle Ortiz was driving had no rear registration plate, according to police.

A white stackable combination washer/dryer of unknown value, a white refrigerator of unknown value, a white range, a 32-inch Magnavox television valued at $100, a green Hoover steam cleaner vacuum valued at $80, two lamps valued at $40 and an unknown amount of miscellaneous clothing were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on March 19.
