Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Five teenagers were arrested on February 26 and charged with possession of cannabis when an officer patrolling in the 200 block of Arcadia Street observed a vehicle parked on the street occupied by approximately 5 subjects. According to police, the officer’s attention was brought to this vehicle because the vehicle was filled with smoke.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Arcadia Street on Fairbury 26 to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. There were no arrests. The complainant was advised of her domestic violence rights and information on how to attain an order of protection, according to police.

Kenneth L. Jones, 28, 3936 W. 190th St., Flossmoor, was arrested on February 26 and charged with domestic battery and assault when an officer at the Park Forest Police Department noticed a female subject standing at the Records window who appeared to be distressed.

Two teenagers were arrested on February 26 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the first block of East Rocket Circle to investigate a report of a large fight.

Ramone K. Little, 20, 17482 Eastgate Dr., Country Club Hills, was arrested on February 26 and charged with battery and resisting when an officer was dispatched to Rich East High School to assist in the dismissal of a basketball game. According to police, Little and a 15-year-old juvenile were standing in a parking lot in the path of buses that were attempting to leave the lot. The two allegedly refused to move when an officer told them to leave the parking lot or they would be placed under arrest. According to police, the 15-year-old allegedly struck Officer Hoskins on the chin with a closed fist while Little allegedly jumped on Officer Hoskins’ back and punched him in the back.

A juvenile was arrested and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when police responded to a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of a large fight in progress.

Cedric W. Williams, 50, 2886 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on February 28 and charged with felony retail theft when police were dispatched to a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of retail theft.

Leon H. Wilson, Jr., 37, 1122 Fieldstone Ln., Bartlett, IL, was arrested on February 28 and charged with aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding, felony driving while license was revoked, resisting a peace officer, and reckless driving after officers received a dispatch of a report of a reckless vehicle driving northbound on Western Avenue from Sauk Trail.

Jalesa L. Fleming, 19, 21843 Jeffrey Ave., Sauk Village, was arrested on March 1 and charged with possession of cannabis when a vehicle she was a passenger in was observed by police to have illegally obstructed front side windows – dark tint – according to police. The vehicle was pulled over by police in the 1700 block of Western Avenue.

The front passenger door window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Jackson Street was reported shattered on March 2.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of North Arbor Trail on March 2 to investigate a report of an armed robbery. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

Police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on March 2 to investigate a report of identity theft. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

A sewer rod valued at $2000, a kitchen-style sewer rod valued at $1000, a DeWalt combo Kit case with miscellaneous tools valued at $400 and two drills valued at $300 were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Indiana Street on March 3.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Todd Street to investigate a report of burglary on March 3. The complainant reported coming home to observe muddy footprints leading upstairs. The complainant also observed that a window in the family room was broken. A laptop computer was reported missing from the residence.

A gray and black Pioneer CD player valued at $200 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Indiana Street on March 4.

Jeffrey Love, 49, 102 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on March 4 and charged with domestic battery when police responded to the 100 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of domestic battery.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the first block of Woodland Court on March 4 to investigate an attempted burglary. According to police, a witness reported hearing the doorbell ring at seven in the morning followed by several loud bangs on the front storm door of the house. The witness reported yelling, "Go away!" According to the witness, after shouting, he observed a male subject run away from the front door to a newer model crème-colored SUV parked in the driveway. According to the witness, the subject was holding a hammer and another tool while running to the vehicle. Police continue to investigate.

An officer was assigned to investigate a report of fraud when a man came into the Park Forest Police Department and related that he received a bill from NICOR in the amount of $1010.30 for a house that he did not own.

Chiedu H. Nwaokai, 22, 3442 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on March 5 and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Western Avenue to investigate a disorderly conduct complaint.
