Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

A juvenile was arrested on September 2 and charged with felony theft when an officer working as a police liaison officer at Rich East High School was asked to investigate a report of theft. Items allegedly stolen include a digital camera and a five dollar bill.
A 2011 silver Camaro, Illinois license N316390, was reported stolen from the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive on September 3.
Sarah A. Kraft, 19, 133 N. Arbor Trail, Apt. 405, Park Forest, was arrested September 3 and charged with misdemeanor possession of cannabis, minor consumption of alcohol zero-tolerance, disobeying a red traffic signal, and operation of a motor vehicle without insurance when an officer on patrol in the area of Indianwood Boulevard and Sauk Trail observed the vehicle Kraft was driving allegedly disobeyed a red traffic signal. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was issued municipal citations charging possession of alcoholic liquor and minor consumption of alcoholic beverage. A third passenger, Lauren M. Seely, 18, 26861 Meghan Ct., Monee, was issued a municipal citation charging minor consumption of alcoholic beverage.
A juvenile was arrested September 4 and charged with theft and obstruction of a peace officer when police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Western Avenue to investigate a bicycle theft.
A DeWalt reciprocating saw valued at $99, a DeWalt table saw valued at $369, a cordless Mikita hammer drill/impact driver valued at $279, a Ryobi router valued at $99, router bits valued at $99, two Arrow hammer tackers valued at $60, an Arrow stapler valued at $23, a Seneca framing nailer valued at $249, a DeWalt VSK drill valued at $99, and a DeWalt 3/8 drill valued at $59 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Miami Street on September 5.
A juvenile was arrested September 5 and charged with burglary to motor vehicle when an officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street to investigate a report of a subject attempting to gain entry to a car.
Kevin I. Cox, 23, 405 Huron St., Park Forest, was issued municipal citation September 6 charging dog at large, fierce dog and failure to purchase a dog license when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Huron Street to investigate a report of a dog bite. Police say Cox’s dog charged at one woman and two young girls while they were walking their dog in that block. Police observed scratches on one of the girls while the other complained that her back and the back of her head were hurting. According to police, the dog pulled the girls to the ground who then got up and ran home. When police arrived, the dog charged at an officer who unsuccessfully attempted to use his Taser on the animal. As the animal was charging at the officer, another shot the dog. The dog was sedated and transported to Calumet Emergency Veterinary Clinic where it was later euthanized.
Reginald L. Mitchell, 40, 433 Navajo St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 6 and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Sauk Trail to investigate a report of theft.
A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 23400 block of South Western Avenue on September 6.
A 5 gallon plastic jar containing approximately $100 in coins was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Hickory Street on September 6.
Lamont A. Fleming, 18, 952 Morningside Lane, University Park, was arrested on September 6 and charged with possession of cannabis and processed on an outstanding warrant on a domestic battery charge, that police say they knew of, when an officer patrolling in the area of Western Avenue and Main Street, saw Fleming riding a bike.
Nicole E. Wiley, 33, 128 Algonquin St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 6 and charged with obstructing identification and processed on an outstanding traffic warrant when police observed that the vehicle Wiley was driving had expired registration.
Daniel T. Morgan, 20, a homeless man, was arrested on September 6 and issued municipal citations charging disorderly conduct, resisting a peace officer, and underage consumption of alcoholic beverage when an officer on patrol in the 400 block of Sauk Trail observed Morgan leave a business, walking rapidly. Police say the officer recognized Morgan from a previous encounter.
Zedric L. Young, 25, 15100 S. Honore Ave., Harvey, was arrested on September 7 and charged with possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to the intersection of Indianwood Boulevard and Nauvoo Street to investigate a report of 4 to 5 subjects standing in the roadway.
A black and white chihuahua/fox-terrier valued at $100 was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Nassau Street on September 7.
Daniel J. Ginther, 37, 4101 203rd St., Matteson, was arrested on September 9 and charged with theft of labor or services when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Osage Street to investigate a report of a customer/neighbor dispute. Police say Ginther only paid $14 for a $44 cab ride he took from Blue Island to Park Forest.
A window of a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street was reported shattered on September 9.
A 32-inch RCA television valued at $300 was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Nassau Street on September 9.
A juvenile told police he was punched in the eye on September 9 by an unknown subject when the subject accused him of taking his hat. The incident allegedly happened at the Forest Trail basketball court.
