Two Park Forest Police Recruits Earned The Title “Officer” Friday

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- On Friday, Park Forest Police recruits Jim Johnson and Jennifer Keith officially became Officer Jim Johnson and Officer Jennifer Keith after graduating from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA), the PFPD announced on one of its social media platforms.

Officer Johnson served in the United States Marine Corps and worked for the Cook County Department of Corrections. Officer Keith has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University and previously worked as a 911 dispatcher at a local communications center, according to the statement.

“Officers Johnson and Keith now begin their Field Training so look forward to seeing them on the streets soon,” the post continues. “They are pictured below with Chief Mannino, Deputy Chief Rzyski, and Commander Baugh.”

“Congratulations to you both and welcome to the family!” the statement concludes.

Officers Johnson and Keith are scheduled to be sworn in at the Village Board meeting on September 4. Swearing-ins typically occur at the beginning of the meeting, shortly after 7 PM.
