NEW YORK–(ENEWSPF)–October 27, 2015. Bernie Sanders was in New York on Monday to discuss the reasons his White House campaign is catching fire and whether he thinks he can capture the Democratic nomination.
“Yeah, we can win,” Bernie told Whoopie Goldberg during an appearance on “The View.” (She called Bernie “one of the smartest voices we’ve heard in a long time.”) Joy Behar and other hosts of the ABC daytime program also discussed Bernie’s presidential campaign. Watch it here.
Later in the day, Bernie sat down for long interviews with Charlie Rose and Rachel Maddow.
During the extensive interview with Rose, the questions ranged from income and wealth inequality in the United States to why we should close tax loopholes that let profitable corporations pay nothing in income taxes.
On MSNBC, the focus was on Bernie’s 1996 vote against the Defense of Marriage Act and attempts by some to rewrite the history of why Congress passed the anti-gay law.
