NATO Secretary General Conveys His Condolences to Morocco


BELGIUM–(ENEWSPF)–29 April 2011.  Today, the NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, sent a personal message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI to extend his condolences to him and the people of Morrocco following the terrorist attack that took place in Marrakech on the previous day.

On behalf of NATO, the Secretary General also expressed his deepest sympathy to the families of the victims.

In his message, the Secretary General praised Morocco for its  exemplary role in promoting peaceful coexistence. He conveyed NATO’s readiness to pursue and deepen its cooperation with Morocco, a valuable partner, in combatting the scourge of terrorism.
