Annual Conference To Take Place In Minneapolis Thursday–Sunday

Minneapolis-(ENEWSPF)- Netroots Nation, the premier political conference for progressive activists, politicians and bloggers will kick off this Thursday at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This year’s conference will be the largest in the six-year history of Netroots Nation, with more than 2,200 people expected to attend.

Speakers at this year’s conference include: White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer, DNC Chair Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, national field director for the Obama campaign Jeremy Bird, Rep. Jared Polis, Rep. Donna Edwards, Sen. Russ Feingold, Gov. Howard Dean, AFT President Randi Weingarten, Sen. Al Franken, Sen. Ben Cardin, SEIU President Mary Kay Henry, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Rep. Keith Ellison, Van Jones, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Rep. Luis Gutierrez, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, United Steelworkers International President Leo Gerard, Rep. Tim Walz, AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler, AFSCME Secretary-Treasurer Lee Saunders, Rep. Jan Schakowsky, UFCW International President Joseph Hansen, vice president of the National Education Association Lily Eskelsen, Rep. John Garamendi, Rep. Judy Chu and many others.
