USGS: 6.0 M Earthquake Hits Babuyan Island Region, Philippines

BABUYAN ISL REGION, PHILIPPINES-(ENEWSPF)- The United States Geological Survey issued preliminary report of a 6.0 magnitude earthquake at a depth of 36 km. The quake reportedly struck at 2:26:11 CST.

The quake reportedly struck 111 km (69 miles) NE (39 degrees) of Laoag, Luzon, Philippines; 175 km (109 miles) SSW (206 degrees) of Basco, Batan Islands, Philippines; 220 km (137 miles) NNW (343 degrees) of Ilagan, Luzon, Philippines; 296 km (184 miles) NNE (13 degrees) of Baguio, Luzon, Philippines; and 489 km (304 miles) N (4 degrees) of MANILA, Philippines.
