Congresswoman Duckworth Cosponsors Disabled Veterans Tax Termination Act

Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth announced her co-sponsorship of the Disabled Veterans Tax Termination Act. The legislation would prevent Veterans from being taxed on both their disability and military retirement pay. 

“Those Veterans who have been willing to sacrifice for their country and became disabled during their service should not be penalized,” said Duckworth. “We need to do everything within our power to help disabled Veterans succeed and live fulfilling lives. The bipartisan Disabled Veterans Tax Termination Act is an important step in that direction and I hope members on the both sides of the aisle work together to get this essential piece of legislation passed.”
