DOD Identifies Army Casualties, November 16, 2010


Washington, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–November 16, 2010.  The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

They died Nov. 13 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, when an insurgent suicide bomber detonated a vest bomb and struck their unit.

Killed were:

Staff Sgt. Juan L. Rivadeneira, 27, of Davie, Fla.

Cpl. Jacob R. Carver, 20, of Freeman, Mo.

Spc. Jacob C. Carroll, 20, of Clemmons, N.C.

They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
