DOD Identifies Two Army Casualties, September 1, 2011


Washington, DC–(ENEWSPF)–September 1, 2011.  The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.  They died Aug. 25 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their vehicle using an improvised explosive device.  The soldiers were assigned to the 546th Transportation Company, 82nd Sustainment Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.

Killed were:

Sgt. Devin J. Daniels, 22, of Kuna, Idaho; and

Sgt. Colby L. Richmond, 28, of Providence, N.C.
