Mastronardi Produce Voluntarily Recalls Grape Tomatoes Because of Possible Health Risk


Silver Spring, Maryland–(ENEWSPF)–May 4, 2011.  Mastronardi Produce of Kingsville, Ontario is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of grape tomatoes.  The products are associated with a recall by Six L’s Packing Company of Immokalee, Florida on April 29, 2011 because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.  There have been no illnesses reported to date.
