Hundreds of Illinois Voters Rallying Today, June 22, to Save the Affordable Care Act & Stop TrumpCare

CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—June 22, 2017. Illinois voters will rally today, Thursday, June 22 to help save the Affordable Care Act and stop TrumpCare. The rally will be held in the Federal Plaza, 230 South Dearborn Street in Downtown Chicago beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Today’s rally in Federal Plaza caps off statewide “Healthcare Truth Tour” which featured rallies & a mobile billboard supporting the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  The billboard has traveled 1K miles through Illinois this week, calling out Congressman like Adam Kinzinger & Pete Roskam for voting for TrumpCare. The truck & it’s powerful message conclude its tour in Chicago Thursday.

Rally participants include:

  • Indivisible Illinois and a coalition of local Indivisible groups including Indivisible Chicago & Indivisible 123GO.
  • Doctors for America, a coalition of physicians & medical students who support quality healthcare for all.
  • Illinois residents who will be harmed if the ACA is repealed including Mary Duggan, the woman going viral on Twitter after MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow tweeted a photo of her this week.
  • Other grassroots organizations fighting to save ACA.
