A Sad but Predictable Pander-monium over Rising Gas Prices

NRDC: “There are no quick fixes”

WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–March 6, 2012 –- With a presidential press conference set for this afternoon, can a new public debate over rising gas prices be far behind?

The following is a statement from Franz Matzner, associate director of Government Affairs at the Natural Resources Defense Council:

“You know America has entered the silly season when so many politicians are tripping over one another in a sad but predictable pander-monium over soaring gas prices. This public spectacle, though, cannot hide the simple truth: There are no quick fixes.

“Another thing we don’t need is to continue subsidizing the oil industry with $4 billion a year of our tax dollars. This is corporate welfare gone wild.’’
