NRDC: EPA Issues Clarion Call to Climate Action

WASHINGTON—(ENEWSPF)–June 22, 2015 — The Environmental Protection Agency today released “’Climate Change in the United States:  Benefits of Global Action,”’ at-once a sobering warning of the consequences of inaction and a clarion call to action.

The following is a statement by Rhea Suh, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council:

“EPA is highlighting the enormous benefits of taking decisive steps to curb climate change — and the unacceptable consequences of inaction.

“We can, and must, slow, stop and reverse climate change — and leave a cleaner, healthier planet for our children and future generations. Otherwise, as EPA warns us, the devastating impacts of carbon pollution will be felt by every sector of our economy, by every region of our country and by every human being on Earth.

“Our choice is clear.”
