Radical Ryan Spending Proposal Would Cripple Key Federal Protections

NRDC: Ryan Budget ‘A Road Map to Social Dysfunction’

WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–March 20, 2012 – The following is a statement from Scott Slesinger, legislative director at the Natural Resources Defense Council, on today’s budget proposal from House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wis.

“The radical Ryan budget is a road map to social dysfunction. It would cripple all the protections we have come to expect from our government—from air traffic control and food safety to homeland security and our national parks –and above all, the air we breathe and the water we drink. The only thing this ‘budget’ would protect are tax cuts for millionaires.”
