Washington, DC – Speaker Ryan just released the GOP from supporting that party’s own Presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
In Response, Sierra Club Political Director Khalid Pitts Released the Following Statement:
“Congressional Republicans may be trying to run from Trump now, but they can’t hide from the fact that they already embraced his agenda before he was even on the ballot. Whether it’s outright climate denial, retrograde immigration policies, or attacks on women and people of color, Congressional Republicans will be held accountable for their reckless agenda whether they disavow their ringleader or not.”
