Martina Mathisen, in costume as Marie Antoinette, will be coming to Crete Public Library, 1177 North Main Street, on Monday, October 9th at 7 p.m. Through an interactive historical presentation, she will reveal the truth behind this misunderstood queen, who went from being a teen bride surrounded by pure opulence to the most hated woman in France. What actually happened to her? This time the audience can decide her fate and determine if she will live or die. The program is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested by calling the library at 708-672-8917.

Martina Mathisen began Edu-tainment Living History in 2013 with the thought of sharing history in a dynamic and interesting way. What began as a personal fascination with the Meet Marie Antoinette program grew by demand to include other characters and times. Martina explores these historical characters bringing them “to life” in presentations expressing her personal passion for history. Today Martina travels from Chicago to St. Louis to Washington DC and throughout the midwest delivering programs that are educational, engaging, interactive and fun.
