Indivisible Chicago

CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—June 27, 2017.  Following Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s announcement that the vote on the Senate bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, Indivisible Chicago released the following statement:

This delay represents a victory for the twenty-two million Americans that stand to lose their insurance under Trumpcare, but the fight is far from over. Indivisible Chicago, along with Indivisible groups across the nation, will ramp up our efforts and fight tirelessly until the bill is dead for good.

Indivisible Chicago & many other local grassroots groups are protesting the GOP health care bill at the Thompson Center in the Chicago Loop on June 28th at noon. We will make a human chain outside the building, present a petition to Gov Rauner demanding he protect the 650-thousand Illinois families who will lose health care under the GOP bill, and share our personal stories about how the ACA has helped us.
