Why Don’t We Have A Level I Or Level II Trauma Center In The South Suburbs? Forum Sunday

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The nearest Level I Trauma Center is located at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. Because of the high demand on the Emergency Room there, it often is on "over-ride," which means paramedics must transport South Suburban emergency-need patients to Stroger Hospital or further. This poses a nearly impossible task for paramedics and other health service providers to assure emergency patients the care they need and deserve! Residents of Chicagoland’s other regions have numerous trauma centers available to meet their needs. Why not the South Suburbs?

Even the BEST insurance is NO assurance you or your loved ones will receive the care and attention you and they may need if a serious accident or health crisis occurs.
