Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—February 21, 2017. Renowned historian, educator, and author Glennette Tilley Turner, will discuss the Underground Railroad in Illinois on Sunday, February 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Park Forest Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
Ms. Turner is the author of the books: The Underground Railroad in Illinois, Running for Our Lives and An Apple for Harriet Tubman. She has also written the biographies Fort Mose: and the Story of the Man Who Built the First Free Black Settlement in Colonial America, Billy the Barber’s Mirror, and Take a Walk in Their Shoes.
There will be a book sale and signing following the program.
