Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Looking for a foot doctor? Dr. Nancy Lee is located in downtown Park Forest. Originally located in Olympia Fields, she relocated her part-time practice when her partner retired three and a half years ago. As a podiatrist and surgeon, she is affiliated with St. James Hospital. However, surgery is not the first option, when considering the care of her patients. Preventative care is essential to overall health.
Her practice specializes in diabetic foot care, sports injuries, arthritis, athlete’s foot, ankle pain, calluses, warts, sprains, hammertoes, and flat feet. X-rays are done on the spot, making it convenient for the patients. “We deal with a lot of diabetic foot care, circulation, nerve and visual problems” said Dr. Lee. “We are getting referrals from local physicians, as well as some throughout the southern suburbs.”
Dr. Lee and her office administrator, Jenell Stolzenbach, take pride in being a part of the Park Forest business community. “We maintain prompt scheduling of appointments, and give personalized attention to every patient” said Dr. Lee. “Jenell has been with me from the very beginning, and she’s a credit to the practice. At a big office you may be just a number, but we know our patients by name. That’s the great thing about having a small practice. Personal relationships.”
As a graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Dr. Lee is not new to the area. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University, in Miami, Florida. She completed residency programs at North Chicago VA Medical Center, and St, Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago.
Her practice has significantly grown in Park Forest. She credits the downtown management staff for the preparation of the office space, and a smooth transition. The Village’s sign grant program was also a big help. This program pays one-half of the external signage, up to $1,000.00, for downtown businesses.
