Durbin Welcomes AIPAC President as Special Guest to Joint Session of Congress with Israeli PM

WASHINGTON, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–May 24, 2011.  U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today welcomed the President of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Chicago native Lee Rosenberg, as his guest to an address by the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, to a joint session of Congress. Durbin, the Assistant Senate Majority Leader, member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and a member of the council that oversees the U.S Holocaust Memorial Museum, met with Rosenberg prior to the joint session to discuss the Unites States’ relationship with Israel.

“Israel remains one of America’s most important allies,” said Durbin. “I look forward to hearing Prime Minister Netanyahu’s views on the quest for lasting peace in the region, one that ensures Israeli security and a viable Palestinian state. I appreciate Lee Rosenberg’s continued thoughtful counsel on trying to move that process forward.”

Lee Rosenberg is a resident of Chicago and has served as President of AIPAC since March 2010. He also serves as CEO of Rosenberg Advisory, CEO of LRSmedia, a General Partner at Kettle Partners, and as Board Director at both Active Network and Sportvision. He is married to Nancy Rosenberg and has one daughter, Noa.
