South Holland, IL—(ENEWSPF)—October 4, 2013. More than 1,500 people so far have attended the First Annual Second Congressional District Job Fair hosted by Congresswoman Robin Kelly at South Suburban College in South Holland.
More than 50 employers are on hand to interview job-seekers for a variety of open positions in an array of industries, including banking, healthcare, retail, government and transportation. Participating employers included BMO Harris Bank, Metra, Prudential, CSX Railroads and Comcast.
“Today’s turnout demonstrates the critical need for jobs in the community. There are many, many hardworking men and women in my district who just need a shot at employment. The job fair is that shot – a chance for them to get in front of hiring managers who are looking to fill positions immediately,” Rep. Kelly said. “I’m very happy that I was able to connect so many job seekers to potential employers and I hope that they all walk away that much closer to gainful employment.”
The Second Congressional District Job Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South Suburban College, 15800 S. State Street, South Holland, IL.
