Freeport, IL–(ENEWSPF)–October 25, 2012. International President Leo W. Gerard of the United Steelworkers joined MSNBC’s Ed Schultz with the latest out of Freeport, Illinois. Executives from Bain Capital made the trip out to Freeport earlier this week to tell the mayor if the protests don’t end, they would close the Sensata factory immediately. It’s bad enough Bain Capital ships their jobs overseas, now they’re trying to crush their first amendment rights.
When asked by Schultz if there was a moral component to what is happening, Gerard responded, “Absolutely there is a moral component when they’re showing the ultimate greed. They are showing again this is the Bain model. This is the Mitt Romney model when he says he is a job a job creator. He is a wealth manipulator.”
