Marian Forensics Prevails Again at Sandburg

Three individual wins key team title in ‘Santaburg’ event

Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Marian Catholic Forensics Team captured its second consecutive team title on Dec. 12 with a first-place finish in the “Santaburg Oaklaus” tournament at Sandburg High School. The Marian win was keyed by first-place finishes from Jon Williamsen (Steger) in Dramatic Interpretation, Mollyanne Nunn (Crete) and Mike Foster (Chicago Heights) in Dramatic Duet Acting, and Joe Wlos (Crete) in Extemporaneous Speaking.

Marian also garnered second-place points from Colleen Daw (Homewood) in Oratorical Declamation, Conor Keane (Oak Forest) in Informative Speaking, Kiayla Jackson (Sauk Village) in Original Comedy, and Summer Fields (Richton Park) in Original Oratory, while Jaime Patriarca (Park Forest) earned a third place in Dramatic Interpretation.

Trevor Thompkins (Olympia Fields) added a fourth place in Informative Speaking, while other Marian finalists included Jaboukie Young-White (Harvey) in both Impromptu Speaking and Original Oratory, Ashley Smith (Olympia Fields) in Dramatic Interpretation,  and Zach Henry (Lansing) and Adam King (Lansing) in Humorous Duet Acting.
