Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)- Meet Rich East High School Stellar Student Marquetia Smith-Zook, a 4-year resident of Park Forest. Marquetia has participated in Cheerleading, National Honor Society, The Legacy Initiative. She loves Math. On her iPod? Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne.

She currently ranks 9th in the Rich East class of 2013.

Ms. Smith-Zook plans to be a pre-med major at Indiana State University in the fall.

Are you a Park Forest Resident? How long? Yes, almost four years.

At Rich East all four years? Yes. I have been at Rich East for four years.

What do you like most about Rich East? The teachers.

Activities/Athletics/Clubs  participated in? I have participated in Cheerleading, National Honor Society, The Legacy Initiative.

GPA/Class Rank. My Grade Point Average is 3.576. My class rank: 9th out of 213.

Favorite classes and why. My favorite class is Math because it is my best subject.

Favorite teachers and why. My favorite teachers are: Ms. (Carmen) Pierce and Ms. (Lenore) Rendina because they push me to do my best and to do great things. They see the potential in me.

College choice?  Major? I will be attending Indiana State University and I plan to major in pre-med.

What are you listening to on your iPod these days? I’m listening to Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne.

What is the last book you have read? The last book I have read is “Upstate,” by Kalisha Buckhanon.

Favorite TV Shows? My favorite TV shows are: “Pretty Little Liars” and “Impractical Jokers.”

Coffee or Tea, hot or cold? I drink tea, cold. I really like herbal tea..

Junk Foods? Pizza, Mickey D’s, Taco Bell? Other? Junk foods: Cookies, ice cream doughnuts, chips. Healthy Foods: Fruit and spinach. I also like McDonald’s and Popeye’s.

Places that you’d most like to visit? I would really like to visit Paris, France and Miami, Florida..

Clubs, hobbies? I enjoy singing, dancing and spending time with family and friends. I also love to read and tutor children.

Where do you want to be in five years?  In ten years? In five years, I plan to have completed my bachelor’s degree in forensics and be on my way to medical school. In 10 years, I want to be a pediatrician taking care of children.
