Seminar Focuses on Securing Small Business Investment


University Park, IL-(ENEWSPF)- CenterPoint at Governors State University is sponsoring a free seminar on “How to Be an Investor-Ready Entrepreneur” at 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 29, at Markham City Hall, 16313 S. Kedzie Avenue, Markham.

Don Brozek, Manager of Illinois Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Services at CenterPoint, will lead the seminar, which will focus on:

  • What do you do when you need money to grow and the banks say "no."
  • What are angels and other investors looking for, and what should you look for from them?
  • How do you minimize your need for outside capital and build a stronger business?
  • What should be your go-to-market strategy?

This session will focus on understanding the venture capital and angel investors market. You’ll find out how companies get money from these sources and how you can use it to build a successful business.

The seminar is free due to support from the The City of Markham and the Illinois Small Business Development Center at CenterPoint.
