Magnitude 6.2 Earthquake Reported in Molucca Sea

Washington, D.C.-(ENEWSPF)- The United States Geological Survey reports that a 6.2 magnitude earthquake has struck in the Molucca Sea, 130 miles ENE of Manado, Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The location of the rumbler is 210 km (130 miles) ENE of Manado, Sulawesi, Indonesia; 219 km (136 miles) NNW of Ternate, Moluccas, Indonesia; 1040 km (646 miles) WSW of KOROR, Palau; and 1465 km (910 miles) SSE of MANILA, Philippines.

The quake reportedly struck on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 09:31:17 AM (CDT) – Central Daylight (Chicago).
