WASHINGTON, D.C. –(ENEWSPF)–September 24, 2015. Yesterday, President Obama welcomed Pope Francis to the White House for the kick off event to the Pontiff’s first visit to the United States. Today, the Pope will address both a joint session of Congress and the public gathered on the National Mall. During the historic White House meeting, both world leaders spoke to the need for meaningful and swift climate action to protect future generations, while the Pope praised President Obama’s actions to curb carbon pollution.
