Payroll Employment Rises by 138,000 in May, 2017; Unemployment Rate Changes Little (4.3%)

Washington, DC—(ENEWSPF)—June 2, 2017. Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 138,000 in May, 2017 and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains occurred in health care and mining.
