Murphy Visits U.S. DOT, Urges Evaluation of High-Speed Rail Corridor between Chicago and St. Louis

Cook County, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Cook County Board Commissioner Joan Patricia Murphy released a statement indicating that she has passed legislation urging U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and the Federal Railroad Administration to award $8.2 million to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to conduct a feasibility study and evaluate a 220-mph high-speed rail corridor between Chicago and St. Louis.
