FDA awards contract to develop promising New Technology to Test Radiation Countermeasures

Silver Spring, Maryland–(ENEWSPF)–August 12, 2013. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has awarded a $5.6 million contract to Harvard University’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering to apply its  breakthrough organs-on-chips technology to assess medical countermeasures for treating acute radiation syndrome (ARS), also known as radiation sickness.
