Raleigh, N.C.-(ENEWSPF)- The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against North Carolina and Gov. Pat McCrory challenging House Bill 2, a law that removes local legal protections for LGBT people and prohibits transgender people from using public facilities that correspond to their gender identity.
Earlier today, McCrory had filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department asking a federal court to determine that the law does not violate civil rights laws.
